The Family Room is currently being used as a music room and entertainment space. It’s great for intimate parties and for relaxing with friends.

As you can see from the exposure problems, the bay makes it an extremely bright and airy room and a wonderful, warm sun-trap throughout the year. This is a shot from late afternoon in early spring, clearly showing the privacy the bay offers.

This room, like many other parts of the house acts as an impromptu gallery for some of the owners’ collection of rock music memorabilia. The silver framed piece above the cream ”Arc” recliner is a massive 1.5 metres high and shows the height and airy nature of the room. It’s one of only 52 posters signed by The Clash at a ceremony on Broadway to promote their album, “The Clash On Broadway”. The other piece above the radiator is a rare “Soft Machine Turns On” poster by the English psychedelic design company Hapshash And The Coloured Coat.
